Job Description

Full-Time Nanny/Housekeeper – Stamford, CT
Compensation: $25–$35/hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–5:00 PM
Benefits: 10 vacation days, 5 sick days, major holidays off, use of family car for work-related duties

A warm and welcoming two-mom family in Stamford is seeking a kind, proactive, and organized Nanny/Housekeeper to care for their nearly 4-year-old son. Their current nanny of two years is transitioning to grad school, and they are hoping to find someone equally gentle, interactive, and engaging.

About the Child:

  • Friendly, outgoing, and curious—loves science, puzzles, and Bluey

  • Enjoys structured activities like museums, the library, parks, and playdates

  • Can be strong-willed, so a patient, calm approach is key

  • Attends a part-time school program in Rye, NY; after-school activities vary

Ideal Candidate:

  • Must be accepting and inclusive—this family values kindness above all

  • Collaborative, communicative, and respectful of the family dynamic (first-time parents)

  • Not aggressive in tone or demeanor—warmth and calm are essential

  • Proactive and tidy—able to spot areas that need organizing (closets, pantry) and take initiative

  • Loves planning enriching activities and exploring the local area

  • Comfortable cooking simple meals for the child and helping prep family dinners

  • Must drive; family car available for use

General Responsibilities:

  • Plan and engage in developmentally appropriate activities

  • School drop-off/pick-up in Rye

  • Light housekeeping related to the child (tidying play areas, child’s laundry)

  • Grocery runs and light errands (2–3 times per week)

  • Child’s meal prep and occasional family meal prep

Other Details:

  • No travel required, but occasional summer trips to the Hamptons with the family are appreciated

  • Family values food, togetherness, and open communication

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Excellent references

  • Background check required upon offer

  • Must be comfortable driving and have a clean driving record
