Job Description

South Sioux City Marriott is looking for a Part Time Restaurant Host to join our team. If you have a passion for creating great experiences for customers and want to be a part of an excellent team, then we want to hear from you. Responsibilities

Manage reservations and room service orders
Welcome guests to the venue
Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists
Ensure that guests are seated and receive attentive service
Give guests menus and answer their questions
Take orders while paying attention to details (e.g. preferences of coffee blend, dairy and sugar ratios)
Assist in serving beverages
Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
Keep the area clean
Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates
Comply with health and safety regulations
Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

As the host you are the first and last person the guest sees, so make it memorable! Requirements and skills

Previous work experience as a Host/Barista or Waiter/Waitress preferred
Excellent communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Flexibility to work various shifts
Basic math skills
High school diploma; relevant training is a plus
