Role Overview:

Meaningful Beginnings Daycare Center is looking for a freelance Website & SEO Specialist to support ongoing website updates, maintenance, and SEO optimization. You'll help ensure our site stays up-to-date, functional, and visible—reflecting our warm, family-centered brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update website content, including text, images, and page layouts
• Troubleshoot and resolve website issues or bugs in a timely manner
• Monitor and improve website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall functionality
• Optimize on-page SEO (meta tags, image alt text, keywords, headers, internal links, etc.)
• Support basic technical tasks like plugin installation, backups, and performance checks
• Develop and implement strategies for improving search engine rankings
• Provide regular reports on SEO performance, traffic, and recommendations
• Coordinate with internal team on website goals or updates as needed

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with website platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace)
• Strong understanding of on-page and technical SEO best practices
• Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO software
• Basic HTML/CSS knowledge preferred but not required
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
